Wellllll, quite frankly we’re a little bored of salads and couscous. What’s wrong with the good old blighty Pie and mash with a pint of real ale sat round a log fire with your nearest and dearest? Things are all to often forgotten…

So, what we decided to do is take a grand old building down the Newcastle Quayside that had bags of natural character and give it some tender loving care, stoke the fires and stock up for the winter with great ales and Handmade quality pies. Pretty simple really we’re not complicated chaps we just care for

Great food, beer and banter.

Our pies are hand made for us by the award winning Amble Butchers. They only source prime meats from the Northumbrian area and make their own stocks and pastries from scratch.

Mash comes in the form of Desiree potato, salted, boiled, dried, riced and whipped with cream, butter and white pepper. Add a little fresh herb or a generous grating of Parmesan.

Liquor or gravy to the pie shop virgin is all made on site from. Fresh stocks, vegetable, vine, herbs and a little flour is all we use for an authentic experience.

Finally the peas. Pick mushy and add lashings of our home made chilli vinegar, minted petit pois or try our beautiful home made pease pudding.
